There were so many different textures across this character and her gear that the whole pic was a great learning experience!

One down, two more WoW-related commissions to go! These are my favorite to work on ♥ Next time though I will ask for some backstory, it wasn’t until she was finished, turned in and getting posted around that it occurred to me I have no idea what even just the character’s name is! What is the other half of her lineage, human perhaps? No clue! Wont happen again![/cs_text][/cs_column][/cs_row][/cs_section][/cs_content]

So how things usually go is a commissioner will send me a character reference and a quick description of what they want for the piece, and then I send them a few gesture drawings based on what they described, like so:[/cs_text][x_image type=”none” src=”http://hellolittlewolf.net/wp-content/uploads/2017/05/Half-ElfGestures.png” alt=”” link=”false” href=”#” title=”” target=”” info=”none” info_place=”top” info_trigger=”hover” info_content=””][cs_text]Not extremely detailed or great-looking, they are really just a visual aid help me get a point across. And from there they pick one (in this case, the client likes the right-side gesture) and it moves forward to where this commission is at now. If they are happy with the lines as they are then coloring starts and we’re on our way to a finished piece :3 Otherwise corrections and a bit more back-and-forth happen until the commissioner is happy.

Panda Shaman (World of Warcraft)

It’s in the planning stage currently, lighting and shades thrown around in large blobs before actually going in and rendering everything. Funfun :3

Inktober Day 20 – Squirrel Catcher

This Inktober has been very birdy, and I have no regrets! The red was added kind of as an afterthought, and I wish I hadn’t put black lines down for it. This was a really.. cathartic piece 🙂
